Júlia Ramalho | Imaginary Art

Júlia Ramalho is  a well known craftswomen  from the north of Portugal, recognized nationally and abroad. She was born in a artistic atmosphere, and soon she started to create her own style of crafts. Most of her products are hyperbolic and  a metaphor of the world around us.

Created in white clay (earthenware), his pieces usually have a glazed brown / honey color, a characteristic technique of her work. With an enviable experience and mastery of this technique of ceramic modeling, the uniqueness of hes work also results from the subject matter: an almost liberating imaginary that combines beliefs and hes own dreams, religious and profane.
